With Sanctions

Remittance Firm
Expected to Settle
An international money remittance company based in California is expected to reach a settlement this week with the Justice Department and forfeit $15 million for alleged weak controls against money laundering, the firm's general counsel said. Sigue Corp. will also agree to invest $9.7 million in compliance costs this year as part of the agreement, Sigue general counsel Robert Pargac said. A Justice Department spokesman didn't return a call seeking comment.
