Bids are due from potential buyers for Harry Macklowe's General Motors building in New York. The real-estate titan has struggled with lenders over $7 billion in short-term loans he took a year ago to buy seven Manhattan skyscrapers.

Modest Rise Forecast

For Industrial Output

Data on industrial production in January are expected to show a modest 0.1% rise on the heels of December's flat reading. Economists expect the capacity-utilization rate to be unchanged from November at 81.4%, which is below the inflation danger zone.
