Money-Fund Assets Rose for the Week
Full Text (118 words)NEW YORK -- Money-market mutual-fund assets rose by $40.4 billion to $3.315 trillion in the week ended Wednesday, from an adjusted $3.252 trillion, according to the Investment Company Institute.
Assets of the 843 retail-class shares increased by $16.16 billion to $1.213 trillion, the institute said. Among retail-class shares, assets of the 546 taxable shares advanced by $15.30 billion to $922.15 billion, and assets of the 297 tax-exempt shares rose by $859 million to $290.35 billion.
Assets of the 1,178 institutional-class shares increased by $24.24 billion to $2.102 trillion. Among institutional-class shares, assets of the 915 taxable shares rose by $22.53 billion to $1.918 trillion, and assets of the 263 tax-exempt shares increased by $1.71 billion to $184.10 billion.
