Asustek Computer Inc. said fourth-quarter net profit rose 7.5% on growing sales of own-brand products, which command a higher margin than products made under contract. The Taiwan maker of computers and motherboards also said it expects its notebook-computer shipments to rise 63% this year and its motherboard shipments to rise 13%. Asustek spun off its contract-manufacturing Jan. 1.
