Ward Bushee Is Named Editor of San Francisco Chronicle

Ward H. Bushee was named executive vice president and editor of the San Francisco Chronicle, effective Feb. 1, Hearst Corp. said. Most recently, Mr. Bushee was editor and vice president of the Arizona Republic.

Mr. Bushee replaces Phil Bronstein who was named editor-at-large of Hearst Newspapers Division and the Chronicle Jan. 23.

The Chronicle is owned by New York media company Hearst Corp., which also operates 29 television stations through Hearst-Argyle Television Inc.
