I was surprised to see a "Trip Planner" neatly tucked into the article "Galapagos Under Siege" (Weekend Journal, Jan. 5).

It seems odd and disheartening that an article that discusses the ways in which the natural habitat of the Galapagos Islands is deteriorating due to human interaction would include a guide to visiting said islands.

One piece describes the continual degradation of a beautiful ecosystem, and the other provides ways in which it can be perpetuated.

Instead, you might have given the names of various documentaries and books on the Galapagos Islands as a way for readers to see them, rather than suggesting they visit the islands in person.
