ARCADIA RESOURCES Inc. (Southfield, Mich.) -- Matthew R. Middendorf was named chief financial officer, effective Feb. 1, at this consumer health-care services company. Mr. Middendorf, 37 years old, succeeds Lynn K. Fetterman, who was serving in the interim. Mr. Fetterman will continue as project manager until he retires on May 24. Mr. Middendorf was a consultant for Arcadia.

CAPSTONE TURBINE Corp. (Chatsworth, Calif.) -- This manufacturer of microturbine systems appointed Edward Reich executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective Feb. 11. Mr. Reich, 44, succeeds Chuck McBride, who is leaving to join Synthetic Genomics Inc. as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Mr. McBride, 54, will remain with the company through Feb. 11. Mr. Reich was vice president, financial planning and analysis.

(Washington) -- This designer, manufacturer and marketer of audio and infotainment products named 31- year company-veteran Ken Yasuda to the newly created post of country manager of Harman Japan. Mr. Yasuda, 61, continues as president of the Japan unit and as chairman of the International Audio Society of Japan.

ROYAL BANK OF CANADA (Toronto) -- David Pichler was named managing director, head of U.S. fixed income and currencies credit trading, for RBC Capital Markets, a unit of this financial-services company. The position is new. Mr. Pichler, 38, was co-head of global credit trading at Citigroup Inc.'s Salomon Brothers unit.
