EADS: Finance Director Leaves Role at Airbus Unit

The finance director of European Aeronautic Defence & Space Co. is giving up his secondary role as finance chief of subsidiary Airbus after helping to get the plane maker back on its feet following production delays. EADS said Hans Peter Ring would hand control of Airbus finances on Feb. 1 to his deputy, Harald Wilhelm. Mr. Ring will remain chief financial officer at Franco-German EADS, a post he has occupied since 2002. In 2005, he also became chief operating officer of EADS. Separately, EADS unit Eurocopter, the world's largest maker of civil helicopters, reaped record revenue and orders in 2007.
