The first Vineland Festival, to have been held southeast of Philadelphia in Vineland, N.J., has been postponed because of competition from the newly announced All Points West at Liberty State Park in Jersey City. Due to the overall festival traffic in the Northeast and big bands touring through this area at the same time, co-producers Festival Republic and C3 Presents have decided to step back and launch Vineland in 2009, organizers said in a statement. Vineland had been scheduled for Aug. 8-10, the same dates as All Points West, which is being organized by the promoters behind the Coachella Music Festival in Southern California.
