The Museum of the History of Polish Jews North American Council mourns the loss of Miles Lerman who, along with his wife Chris, daughter Jeanette and son - in - law Joseph Neubauer, was a distinguished benefactor of the Museum. Mr. Lerman's commitment and dedication to this Museum on the site of the Warsaw Ghetto will help to preserve the 1000 year history and rich legacy of Jewish life in Poland for generations to come. Our deepest condolences to the entire family. LERMAN--Miles. The American Gathering of Jewish Holocaust Survivors and Their Descendants mourns with profound sadness the passing of our unforgettable friend. Survivor and former partisan fighter, a towering leader of the survivor community and its efforts on behalf of Holocaust remembrance and education who spearheaded the creation of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, his dedication and activities have been a source of inspiration to all who knew him as a leading guardian of our martyrs' memory. Our deepest sympathy to his wife Chris, the children, Jeanette and David, and the entire family. May his memory be a blessing for us all.
