GLICKMAN--Robert M., age 79, passed away on January 23rd after a brief illness. Devoted husband of Susan Garson Taylor, loving father of Gail Glickman Horwood and David L. Glickman, loyal stepfather of Whitney and Devin Taylor, generous father-in-law to Denise Del Balzo and Fred Horwood; proud grandfather of Bridget, Lila, Lucy, Lena, Patric and Jacson, older brother of David (Bud) Glickman and brotherin-law of Judith Glickman. He was Trustee Emeritas of the Culinary Institute of America and retired as an Executive Vice President of Norton Simon Inc. where he worked for 32 years beginning at Hunt Wesson Foods. He built a consultancy business, Robert Glickman & Associates, acting as owner's representative managing the renovation and building of large private residences. Bob was known for his ability to start conversations with new acquaintances, make personal connections, and bring people with similar interests together. He loved good food, and was a familiar face at his favorite restaurants. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 on Saturday, February 9th at Frank E. Campbell Madison Ave. at 81st Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert's name to the Culinary Institute of America, Office of Advancement, 1946 Campus Drive, Hyde Park, NY 12538.
