Full Text (109 words)ABRAMS--Mabel, died on Tuesday, January 15 in New York City. She was six weeks shy of her 99th birthday. For over 50 years, she was an advocate of organic food and sustainable agriculture. She supported many small family farms and was an early proponent of alternative, holistic medicine. She is predeceased by two brothers, Morris, and Myron Abrams, her niece, Evelyn Abrams Mauss and her nephew Mason Adams. She is survived by her nephew, Herbert Abrams of Palo Alto, CA, seven grand-nieces and nephews, John Abrams of Martha's Vineyard, Nancy Abrams of Lincoln, MA, Bill Adams, Betsy Adams, Steven Mauss, Susan Tunick, Peter Mauss, all of New York City.
