7 P.M. (Bloomberg) DEADLY BREW: THE HUMAN TOLL OF ETHANOL As the world's largest ethanol exporter, Brazil is in the midst of a bio-fuel boom. But as the wealth increases, conditions grow worse for the workers who harvest the sugar cane from which the fuel is made, with 82,000 injuries and 300 deaths reported in a single year. This half-hour report ventures into the fields to examine working conditions; into a meeting for the sugar cane cutter's union; and into the capital, where a prosecutor for the Labor Ministry discusses the class disparity that allows plantation owners to grow wealthier while systematically ignoring workers' rights.

7:15 P.M. (HBO) THE LEOPARDS TAKE MANHATTAN: THE LITTLE BAND THAT ROARED This final installment in the Music in Me series of family specials follows the Louisville Leopard Percussionists, a group of about 50 young people from various racial and economic backgrounds with no prior musical training (including, above, Mason Allen, left, and Alex Gee), as they try to take New York by storm with the help of their founder and teacher, Diane Downs.

8 P.M. (ABC) UGLY BETTY When Daniel (Eric Mabius) asks Betty (America Ferrera) to interview Phil Roth, she thinks she's sitting down with the novelist Philip Roth -- not a pick-up artist -- in this last episode taped before the writers' strike. Meanwhile Daniel learns he has a shocking connection to the woman (Gabrielle Union) who recently caught his eye.

8 P.M. (NBC) CHUCK Chuck (Zachary Levi) insists that Agent Casey (Adam Baldwin) fight for his beautiful Russian ex-girlfriend before she marries an arms dealer.

8 P.M. (BBC America) RAMSAY'S KITCHEN NIGHTMARES Gordon Ramsay begins Season 4 of his restaurant-makeover series by traveling to Brighton, England, to take on Ruby Tate's, a seafood joint whose absentee owner, the actor Allan Love (Gregory's Girl), hates fish.

9 P.M. (NBC) THE CELEBRITY APPRENTICE Each team must operate a Broadway ticket booth for one day. David Hyde Pierce, the star of Curtains, helps one group meet its sales quota. Another celebrity dresses up as a knight to sell tickets to Spamalot. And friends of another get stuck in traffic while they try to rush an enormous check to the scene.

9 P.M. (MOJO HD) WALL STREET WARRIORS The second season of this reality series follows the stressful lives of a new set of young traders, including Jim and Lance (securities), Larry (orange futures) and Laetitia, who interviews for an entry-level day-trading job that would begin with six months of unpaid training.

11:30 P.M. (21) E2 Research has shown that children who can view plants from their windows, even if only in a pot on a stoop, do better in school. This episode looks at the efforts of Jonathan Rose, a New York developer, to change the perception of affordable -- and green -- housing. KATHRYN SHATTUCK
