If a dwelling is used as a second home and rented out for fewer than 15 days a year, the homeowner isn't required to report the rental income to the Internal Revenue Service and can't deduct any expenses as rental expenses. Thursday's Fiscally Fit column incorrectly stated that homeowners who rent their homes for fewer than 15 days a year can deduct rental expenses. Also, the column incorrectly referred to vacation-rental Web site VRBO.com as VBRO.com.

Two subsidiaries of MidAmerican Energy Holdings Co. -- PacifiCorp Energy in Washington and MidAmerican Energy Co. in Iowa -- placed wind farms in service in 2007. A graphic in yesterday's Energy report failed to give the full name of the holding company.

Jose Valera is a partner at the Houston law firm King & Spalding LLP. In a Leading the News page article Friday about Exxon Mobil Corp., the firm's name was incorrectly spelled King & Spaulding LLP.

The average weight of the migrating monarch butterfly is one-half of a gram, or 0.02 ounce. Friday's Science Journal column incorrectly gave the weight as barely an ounce.
