Full Text (88  words)

Veolia Environnement reported a 14% jump in revenue for last year. Senior Executive Vice President Jerome Contamine said Veolia plans to capitalize on lower asset prices by studying potential acquisitions, but he didn't elaborate. The French water, waste, energy-services and transport utility reported revenue of 32.63 billion euros ($48.38 billion), exceeding analysts' expectations. "The strong revenue growth recorded in 2007 highlights the success of the company's business strategy and geographic expansion and enables it to confirm its stated objectives for 2007 and the medium term," the company said.
