Treasury Will Raise New Cash

WASHINGTON -- The Treasury plans to raise $11 billion in new cash with the sale today of about $26 billion in four-week bills to redeem $15 billion in maturing bills.

The sale amount is up from last week's auction, when the Treasury sold $20 billion in four-week bills.

The four-week bills will mature March 6. The Cusip number is 912795D24.

Noncompetitive tenders for the bills, available in minimum $1,000 denominations, must be received by noon EST today, and competitive tenders by 1 p.m.
