BMW AG: Production Capacity To Grow at China Plant

BMW AG plans to raise production capacity at its Shenyang plant in China in the next few months to 44,000 units a year from 30,000 currently, company spokesman Ma Qingsheng said. The planned output increase comes after the German auto maker's sales in China rose 42% last year to 51,588 units, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers. BMW makes cars in China through a venture with Brilliance China Automotive Holdings Ltd.
