Drug buyers have been stepping up their efforts to cut costs and use more generics, and some analysts believe that trend will accelerate if there is an economic slowdown. An article Thursday about Roche Holding AG's earnings incorrectly implied that that trend won't accelerate unless there is a slowdown in the global economy.

Nationally, more than 1,500 pieces of legislation were introduced in state houses last year related to immigration, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. A page-one article Friday incorrectly said the legislation was related only to illegal immigration.
