Your editorial "TV, Interrupted" (Jan. 12) says correctly that "no one knows what these royalties are worth." That is exactly why the negotiations are over a percentage. Then, however much is at stake, the writers get an amount that varies with the total value. This method gives the flexibility for which your editorial asks.
