Kroll Is Named To Marketing Post At Warner Bros.
Sue Kroll was named to the newly created post of president, world- wide marketing, at Warner Bros. Pictures.
The position combines domestic and international theatrical marketing at the Burbank, Calif., movie studio, a unit of Time Warner Inc. The domestic marketing position was vacated last week with the resignation of Dawn Taubin, who left shortly after Jeff Robinov, president Warner Bros. Picture Group, assumed his new role overseeing the entire motion-picture apparatus at the studio.
Ms. Kroll, 46 years old, joined Warner Bros. in 1994 as an executive in the company's international cable-television operations. She was named president of the studio's international marketing department in 2000.
"I know Sue will more than rise to the challenges of this new, exciting position, and I am thrilled that we'll be doing this together," said Mr. Robinov. "It makes a lot of sense for us to have the domestic and international marketing teams under one executive, which will help us maximize our resources, our reach and our impact."
Among the recent films Ms. Kroll has handled are the "Harry Potter" series, "I Am Legend" and "Sweeney Todd."
