Patrice Isabelle Battey was married on Saturday afternoon to Andrew James Simon at Riverside Church in Manhattan.

The Rev. Dr. Arnold Isidore Thomas, a minister of the United Church of Christ, officiated at the ceremony, which was led by the Rev. Clarice Hamer, a Pentecostal minister.

Mrs. Battey-Simon, 38, is a project assistant with Kohn Pedersen Fox, the architectural firm in Manhattan. She graduated from Pace University.

She is a daughter of Frances Weeks-Vick of Queens Village, Queens, and the late Nathaniel Battey, who lived in Manhattan. Her mother, who is retired, was a licensed practical nurse at the Margaret Tietz Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jamaica, Queens. Her father was a supervisor of the mailroom at New York University Medical Center.

The bride is also a stepdaughter of the late Napoleon Vick, who was an alcoholism therapist with the Health Insurance Plan of New York at the Queens Mental Health Service in Rego Park.

Mr. Simon, 42, is a network administrator at Axispoint, a company in Manhattan that helps businesses and institutions resolve their software problems. He concentrates on the firm's internal networks. He graduated from Macalester College in St. Paul.

He is a son of Marion Simon and Leonard Simon of Monterey, Mass. His mother retired as a fund-raising consultant for the University of Rochester. His father retired as a vice chairman of Charter One Financial, a commercial bank in Cleveland, where he was responsible for strategic planning, analytical research and general management.

The bridegroom's previous marriage ended in divorce.
