STEINBOCK--Michele (Madge), passed away January 23, 2008 at the age of 100. She was born in Harlem to Paul and Madeline Marino, Italian immigrants, and was one of nine children. She worked in the New York school system, starting as a supply clerk and then librarian, guidance counselor, and high school principal, before her retirement at the age of 70. She was a lover of the Philharmonic and the Metropolitan Opera. Her greatest loves were her children, grandchildren, her home on the lake, her rose garden, and the library. She was predeceased by her husband David A. Steinbock. She leaves behind her children, Norma and Robert Roelke, Suzanne and David Larsen and six grandchildren, Eric, Marc, and Dana Roelke and JudithAnne, Michael and Robert Larsen and ten great-grandchildren. She was greatly loved by many people and will be missed by all. Services will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2008, 1pm at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral home, 31 Arch Street, Greenwich, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Eastchester, New York Public Library or Eastchester Volunteer Ambulance Corp.
