Aliona Savchenko and Robin Szolkowy of Germany won their second successive pairs title at the European Figure Skating Championships on Wednesday with a dominating performance in Zagreb, Croatia. Tomas Verner of the Czech Republic surprised the top contenders Brian Joubert of France and Stephane Lambiel, the two-time world champion from Switzerland, to take the lead after the men's short program.
