Full Text (335  words)

PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem was at Torrey Pines on Wednesday and outlined the tour's drug-testing program, which will commence in July.

Finchem said he did not have a major concern about players intentionally taking a step to violate these rules, adding that his bigger concern was players making mistakes and allowing things to get into their bodies that will trigger a positive response.

MORE WESTCHESTER NEGOTIATIONS The PGA Tour remains in negotiations with Westchester Country Club about being the host to future FedEx Cup Playoff tournaments, Tim Finchem said.

Westchester was the host for the Barclays in 2007, and news media reports that the tour planned to move the '08 event to Ridgewood Country Club in New Jersey have not been denied by the tour.

The '09 event will be played at Liberty National as originally scheduled, and Finchem said, We have a wide range of options before us, which could include Westchester being the host to the 2010 Barclays

ANOTHER APOLOGY FOR TILGHMAN The Golf Channel anchor Kelly Tilghman is expected to issue an apology again when she returns to the air Thursday after her two-week suspension for inappropriate racial remarks made three weeks ago.

Tiger Woods reiterated his comments from earlier this week, saying Tilghman, who originally apologized two days after the remarks, has been a great friend over the years and everyone makes mistakes. She certainly regrets what she said and what happened.

TOUR CADDIE IS KILLED The PGA Tour caddie Steve Duplantis was killed early Wednesday when he was struck by a taxi while crossing a street in Del Mar, Calif.

Duplantis, 35, stepped off a center median and into the path of a taxi, the San Diego Sheriff's Department said.

Duplantis was working at the Buick Invitational for Eric Axley. He had won four times with Jim Furyk early in his career, with Rich Beem at the Kemper Open and with Tommy Armour III when he set the PGA Tour's 72-hole scoring record at the Texas Open in 2003.(AP)
