BLACKROCK Inc. (New York) -- John A. Thain was named to the board of this investment-management company, bringing the total number of directors to 17. Mr. Thain, 52 years old, is chairman and chief executive of Merrill Lynch & Co.

CARLTON ADVISORY SERVICES Inc. (New York) -- Ernest Rosato joined this real-estate investment concern as managing director of Carlton Strategic Ventures, its principal transaction group. Mr. Rosato, 45, was a managing director for Metropolitan Capital Advisors Ltd. Also, John Raggio joined as managing director, responsible for originating equity and debt transactions. Mr. Raggio, 54, was a managing director for Tremont Realty Capital LLC.

ENZO BIOCHEM Inc. (Farmingdale, N.Y.) -- Christine T. Fischette was appointed president of Enzo Therapeutics, a subsidiary of this biotech company, effective immediately. Ms. Fischette succeeds Gary Cupit, who went on to a start-up operation, a spokesman said. Mr. Cupit wasn't available to comment. Ms. Fischette, 56, was executive director, global business development and licensing and head/negotiation, for the general medicine business franchise board at Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp., part of Novartis AG.

FITCH RATINGS Ltd. (New York) -- Ann Flynn has joined this credit- rating company as a senior director with the tax-supported team. Ms. Flynn, 51, was co-head of the New York tax-backed group and leader of the New England tax-backed group with RBC Capital Markets, a unit of the Royal Bank of Canada.

LUNDIN MINING Corp. (Vancouver) -- Phil Wright was named president, chief executive and a director, effective immediately. Mr. Wright, 54, succeeds Karl-Axel Waplan, 56, who resigned. Also, Colin K. Benner resigned as vice chairman but continues as a director. Mr. Benner, 63, is succeeded by William A. Rand, 65, who was named lead director. The board stays at 10. Messrs. Waplan and Benner declined to comment.

MCDERMOTT WILL & EMERY LLP (Chicago) -- Hugh Nineham was named a partner and head of European and London corporate, effective immediately. Mr. Nineham, 54, will be based in London. He was head of the corporate finance practice at Lovells LLP.

PUBLIC SERVICE ENTERPRISE GROUP Inc. (Newark, N.J.) -- Eileen Moran was appointed senior vice-president for strategic initiatives, PSEG Services Corp., part of this diversified energy company. Ms. Moran, 53, continues as president of PSEG Resources. Kevin Quinn, president, PSEG Energy Resources & Trade, was named senior vice-president, corporate planning, PSEG. Mr. Quinn, 51, will continue as president, PSEG ER&T, until a successor is found. Richard Machon was appointed senior vice-president, fossil operations, PSEG Power. Mr. Machon, 61, was an independent consultant.
